Should we be focussing on experimental anti virals??

Obviously PPE, ventilators, and staff come first. Which our leaders started preparing for woefully late. We are finally getting on the test test test bandwagon slowly (even though it's been advised by WHO for ages).

Should the next thing to focus on be trials of anti vitals or other drugs already approved for use in other conditions and which have proven useful in other countries?? They will be quicker than the vaccine, and the faster countries put in their 'orders' , hopefully production will step up.

I'm angry that the general public cannot access pharmaceuticals that Boris, Charles etc are no doubt getting (realise that is conjecture, and we can't know because medical files are private, but I don't doubt they are receiving these treatments such as remdesivir, from our 'limited stocks').
