What are people doing about gifts for birthdays coming up?

I’ve got birthdays in April and May of family members and wondering if I should be trying to buy things online but risking orders being cancelled or late or if people are generally postponing gifts ?

I don’t really want to be going to the post office myself to send gifts being 32 weeks pregnant either

I would wait and take them when you see them after this is all over.

Excellent question, mine is soon Smile

I'm putting gift giving on hold until the situation is under control. For everyone, kids included. If anyone has an issue with that, they'll get bugger all.

I have my kids 13th and 10th birthday both coming up next week. Both were getting experiences for their present which have been cancelled. Yes they could go without presents but that feels a bit shit so I have ordered a few things from.Amazon and picked up a few board games etc in Tesco today.

I ordered my sons gifts off amazon and I’ve also got him the new Disney plus subscription .
But supermarkets sell many things that could be gifts too

Apologies for me last reply, that was not helpful! I have asked people who have asked me what I want to please buy me experiences that can be used after this is all over. In your situation I would probably wait until you can see them, don't put yourself at risk going out unnecessarily or order on line. Amazon orders are delayed at the minute though, DS is a very reluctant reader and the only area he is below age related expectations so it is the one thing I need him to keep on top of while school is closed (see how I'm trying to justify an Amazon order/delivery) so he chose some books last weekend, we have Amazon Prime so would usually be next day delivery and they came Friday. So if you do choose this option give it plenty of time.

I moonpigged my dad and mother's day gifts.

Only buying for my own son. He is 5 in June. I bought everything down to card and wrapping paper online last week. He knows when his birthday is (thanks to slightly older brother who won't pretend it isn't). If he was 5 and didn't have a brother who won't lie to him, I'd pretend it was after all this was over.
As I can't, and I am not about to let him down, I've sorted it all now as I don't think things will have improved by June.

Anyone else can wait. My other son is at the end of November, so I would really hope this is over by then 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞.

I did the same Llama. As soon as there was an inkling, I ordered. Took me ages to decide what to get him. I went a bit overboard too as he will miss out on a party or day out. But to him, it's a big deal. So I don't want him to remember his 5th birthday as a let down.
