DDs applying for jobs?

As of Tuesday coming, we have two adult DDs unemployed at home.

DD1 came back from the French Alps 10 days ago, thinking she and most of her friends had already had covid19, and two tested positive on arrival in other countries.

DD2 has been 'let go' from her uni placement year job - last in first out etc.

DH is 3 weeks post chemo.

My SE income has completely dried up.

Can the DDs apply for JSA, if they do will they be expected to jump through the usual hoops? Strictly speaking they 'could' both get supermarkets in normal circs, but are these normal circs?

Given that we are supposed to be social distancing etc as much as poss, sending them off to a supermarket job when DH is immunosuppressed seems positively wrong

Dd1 will be able to claim universal credit . Very likely the hoops will be the online forms rather than attending the job centre . Dd2 I’m unsure if they can claim if they are a student. If they have finished the course then they can.
Best of luck.
