Have people with underlying conditions had it mildly?

I’m frankly getting really anxious.

I’m fat, asthmatic (but not severe - no daily steroids required) and have hypertension.

Is this going to kill me if I get it?

We’re at home and not going out but we do need shopping and there are zero slots available ever.

I’m so scared and not sure what to do.

I spent years worrying about things that never happened.
Now I recommend not worrying about things out of your control .

Do what you can to keep yourself as safe as you can, ie don't be a reckless fool, and swap negative thoughts with positive ones 79000 or so people have survived this so far and rising !

I would like to here from others to see how it has been, DH on meds for immune system. Thing is, with mild cases not being tested, it makes it hard to know.

My sister age 45 has severe asthma in that she has been hospitalised for it twice and takes the maximum dose of two types of inhalers daily. She is on day 17 of having symptoms for Covid-19 (hasn't been tested but has been told by 111 it's suspected Covid-19). I wouldn't say they've been mild but they've been manageable at home and she's now really turned a corner and getting better. So there is definitely hope even if you were to get it.

I'm certain DP and I have had it, we had all the symptoms.

He is a type 1 diabetic, mild asthma, pretty healthy but his diabetic/ blood sugar control goes haywire whenever his body is fighting anything off.

He was unwell but really not too bad at all!

The person we believe he caught it from is overweight and has very bad asthma (takes steroids, hospitalised previously due chest infection/ issues) and he was also absolutely fine.

Blimey we are wiped out though, we don't have any energy at all!

Thank you all.

I’m calming myself down. Just allowed the anxiety in briefly.

No risks being taken here. We are shopping the bare minimum and not otherwise going out except for the garden.
