furloughed never heard this word before in my nearly 40 years. Now you can't move for hearing it.

unprecedented the only word I've heard or used more than furloughed.

silent streets no cars, no yobs, no sirens (can you tell I live in a questionable area)

noisy chewing my effing husband and his effing noisy chewing on bacon sandwiches at 11am like some sort of lush. God, go back to work!

Covidiots is my favourite so far. People who ignore the advice/measures in place to keep them safe

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 28/03/2020 23:21

Oh I like it!

Whatsapperatif or Alcoskype = spending the cocktail hour with friends remotely.

Weenurse · 28/03/2020 23:48

Not light hearted, sorry.
One that I hope stays, is getting temperature checked on my way into work. You would be surprised at how many sick people try to visit patients in hospital.
Lighthearted, staff stress baking. I love all the different baked goods on offer at the moment, all in individual packets.

corona shuffle - when walking past someone on the pavement and both of you dodging the other

Sparklfairy · 29/03/2020 00:57

Exponential. I'd heard it and could use it in a sentence. But never before have I heard it in what seems like every other fucking sentence lately.

Sparklfairy · 29/03/2020 00:58

Seeing people that aren't Asian wearing masks. don't flame me

managedmis · 29/03/2020 02:04

Exponential is mine too

That bloody curve

What's furloughed?

MrsTerryPratchett · 29/03/2020 02:11

Just for you exponential lovers...

Social distancing and self-isolating.

RegDet · 29/03/2020 02:16

Wet markets

Sparklfairy · 29/03/2020 02:21

@managedmis it means 'leave of absence' normally from the services etc. First time I heard it was in Orange is the New Black when a prisoner got furlough so she could go to her nan's funeral, never come across it before!

Sihaya · 29/03/2020 02:25

Virtual queuing

littlebitwooway · 29/03/2020 09:05
