What's too high for an adult temp?

DH upstairs we've all had mild (ish - low grade fevers and persistent coughs) CV symptoms - he's the last but with a much higher temp. He's on day 5/6 and on 39 after paracetamol. How high is too high in adult and when do you start to ask for help in keeping him safe? He was a mild asthmatic as a child but nothing of note since we've been married. Worried that it's all of a sudden spiked.

Seek medical help by calling 111 that's too high.

That’s quite a high fever so I would def phone 111

Thanks - I've got the through the 111 online help and it says to call. Since I've opened the window he's come down to 38 which is positive. I have two asthmatic DCs with the virus - both toddlers - coughing away in their sleep - they are both on treatments and consultant care. To say I'm concerned about how to manage the house right now would be an understatement! I can't believe how the same symptoms can affect all of us so differently at varying levels.
