To wonder I’ve had a very mild case of covid !

A few days ago I developed a cough. I never cough so this is really unusual for me. I also had a real bad throat before the cough. Feeling ok in myself just a little tired and no fever. Generally I would have so I don’t have covid based on that I don’t feel Ill and have no fever. But..

A family member has been told they likely had it (recovering now). I seen them a couple days before their symptoms started and my sore throat started a few days after this and the cough a few days after that!

To think it’s possible I’ve had a very very mild case? Has anyone experienced this?

I’m aware the fever is a very common sign but he been checking my temp every day and it’s been fine.

Possible

I wonder this. I had a mild sore throat and headache for about 10 days. Couple of coughs last week and very occasional tight chest.

My daughter came down with a fever for one night a week after I started with that.
I do wonder if we have both had it.

Yes. Me too. Plus the very slight right chest for a few days. Dd too. But I think it's wishful thinking unfortunately. Plus they are never going to test people with those symptoms.

I am wondering much the same. I have had a low level sore throat, a sporadic dry cough (a couple of times a day). Low level chest pains, (I often have them due to anxiety/costochondritis). Slight runny nose. Low level headaches etc. Had this from around 16th March. Was expecting cold to develop, but it hasn’t.

Certainly feel more tired than usual, but think that is stress related.

However definitely no fever, and I don’t feel particularly ill, or no more than is normal for me.

Shootingstar2918 · 28/03/2020 18:19

Sounds similar @MasakaBuzz. I have felt ever so slightly congested like somethings irritated my nose but haven’t been sneezy or had a runny nose. Also a metallic taste in mouth! I also get anxiety chest pains! I get the stress related tiredness too!

@Shootingstar2918 - I have had the metallic mouth as well. I had that really badly around the 10th March, and again a few days ago.

I hasten to add I don’t log all this. I am just looking back at texts I have sent.

Lack of testing is a huge problem. You think someone else had it and then you had a mild case because you were with someone who may have had it.You both probably had a cold but who knows.

Shootingstar2918 · 28/03/2020 19:37

@MasakaBuzz mine started initially as a sore throat! Not incredibly painful, not tonsillitis painful which I’ve had loads but dry and scratchy on and off. Seemed worse first thing which made me believe it was the dry away from central heating. But yes also the metallic taste. Felt like something in my nose best way to explain is like a chemical Smell irritating my nose and struggled with me sinuses despite no sneezing or runny nose. The cough started a few days ago. Feel okay though. I was coughing during the night last night though so a little tired. The thing is I never cough. I think I last had a cough about 12 years ago.

It’s hard to know what what.

My partner has also started coughing today but it could just be a cold of course.

@recycledbottle yes that’s true. I am not convinced this other person had it as no fever and we are being told fever is present in most cases.

Could be. That’s what DH has been like the last ten days or so. Whereas DD1, then DS, then I all came down with a horrible version with many symptoms that have matched covid. Obviously still can’t be sure but I think it’s likely we have all had it.

user1471530109 · 28/03/2020 19:49

You see, I had these symptoms when I was still at work over 2 weeks ago. I then isolated as vulnerable. Bone of my colleagues have come down with symptoms, so I'm guessing it's just a coincidence. Like I said, wishful thinking. I think we wouldn't notice any of these symptoms if it wasn't for the current situation Sad

StirCrazed · 28/03/2020 19:49

Quite possible. I know other people with confirmed cases (also asymptomatic) whose partners had similar symptoms
