Why do people keep referring to their one hour of exercise?

i think I've read everything the government has put out regarding the rules. I understand one form of exercise per day, local to home, don't drive to get to your exercise spot, solo or with people from the same household, stay 2m from people you pass and I understand it makes sense not to be out for the whole day but I haven't seen anything that stipulates it should be limited to an hour?

You’re right - people are just confused

I asked this yesterday, some countries have a time limit, but we do not.

Ah yes sorry, I've seen the other thread now. Some of my friends have been posting about their very long runs or bike rides and I have urged caution. I'm worried if too many people are out for long time, they may well impose a time limit or even take the exercise privilege away, but I've just been out for an hour and a half and was worried I was getting it all wrong!
