Have some peanuts with it and it's basically aperativo hour in about 15 minutes time!

GreyGardens88 · 28/03/2020 15:46

I'd laugh, but I don't often drink and I've had a drink or two nearly every night this week and on my days off have seriously considered daytime drinking. I haven't, because my Mum was an alcoholic and I really don't want to be one. But I get it, I really do. The world is scary and it's tempting to take the edge off!

Airport rules apply

PurpleDaisies · 28/03/2020 15:50

Go for it!

LH1987 · 28/03/2020 15:50

If I wasn't pregnant, I would be currently enjoying a large glass of wine. Alcohol is a disinfectant right? Grin

AdaColeman · 28/03/2020 15:51

The sun must be over the yardarm! It's cloudy here, so no way of telling for sure! Gin Gin Gin

Cornettoninja · 28/03/2020 15:51

@yeahmate has just won my vote to cover the prime ministers sick leave!

BamboozledandBefuddled · 28/03/2020 15:52

It's 5 o'clock somewhere Grin

I love a drink when not pregnant but even my virtuous ‘one glass of wine with Sunday lunch’ pals are becoming Friday and Saturday afternoon drinkers at the moment. Not overdoing it but a couple of stiffners in these straightened times, why not?

Personally I’ve coped ok with no booze in pregnancy so far (bar one Prosecco at a wedding earlier this year!) but the last couple of weeks I’ve really missed it. Between all the anxiety and stress I’d have given a LOT of money to be able to have a guilt-free large dry white last night. I vote that if you can, fill your boots!

This sums up my thoughts ...

Love quarantini and Airport rules Grin

And as for Vegas 😂.

On a more serious note, anyone noticed a shortage of tonic water? We're well stocked with gin, but local Co-op has none today (I happened to notice when I was out buying essentials..)

aneres · 28/03/2020 16:09

I'm trying to get rid of the random bits of spirits that are lurking at the back of the cupboard so we've just had a shot each of toffee vodka.

Just asked the same thing on FB, turns out most of my mates are well ahead of me.

But it's fucking FREEZING so I've come to bed with a coffee whilst waiting for the heating to kick in.

Wine o'clock in about 5 gulps.

Nogoodnickname · 28/03/2020 16:36

Loving the airport rules GrinGrin

I’m just having a glass of white now. I wouldn’t normally drink this early on a Saturday, but times are stressful right now and my anxiety is through the roof.

Waxonwaxoff0 · 28/03/2020 16:38

I'm refraining from drinking Sunday-Thursday but anything goes on Friday and Saturday. I had a drink with lunch, then had a break as I'm a single parent and don't want to be sozzled when I'm in sole charge of DS! Having another one now and then will probably have another when he's gone to bed.
