Everyone in my home is ill :(

Myself DP SS and SD are all really poorly. This all started 3 weeks ago with my SD racking cough and what presented as a really bad cold and now we all have it . No fevers , all coughs are phlegmy , really congested, banging headaches and awful pains in our backs almost in the left lung area. It sounds like a bad cold but I have never had a cold like this , it’s almost like a flu.

Is anyone else’s whole family in this situation?

Hmmm that's similar to how I've been feeling and now my 2 daughters are the same just without the back pain.
I do think it's just a bad cold as the cough is phlegmy but I might just be naive.

I feel like I’ve been kicked in the back by a horse . I’ve had flu and it’s similar but also had the throat , head, no temp. The day before the cough started I had such a painful throat and to cough was agony but the next day the pain went but cough remains.
Myself and SD are on antibiotics . I just can’t believe how quick it’s gone through my house and we all have the exact symptoms on the exact days .
We are obviously self isolating apart from following the rules I couldn’t go out even if I wanted to .

The sooner tests are available the better! Not that it’ll make people feel better, but it would be good to know if it’s ‘it’ or not.

Also after numerous rows with DP working from my gut and my mother instincts I’m convinced we all have it 2which is making me super neurotic. As I explained to him people are different so surely people can show different symptoms . I think he’s in denial . Oh and also we are SE so doubly fucked 😡

I agree a test would help so much as my mental health is suffering right now , trying to look after everyone , DP in denial, cleaning like a nutter and almost praying for another day as all the stories of how you can decline quickly have freaked me right out .
I’ve actually had to stop watching the news because is tipping me over 😢

I’ve had it and am on antibiotics. Dh has got it but less severely. Dd nothing. Was still coughing but started on antihistamines as worked out the tickle in my throat is linked to hay fever rather than the flu / cold / covid cough.
