What happens with kids if single parent or both parents become ill?

Just planning in my head...DH is emergency services and therefore I'd imagine quite likely to catch it - at which point i know we all keep our distance, we've arranged he'll camp out in front room. But if both of us are ill, we can't then isolate from the kids, do they just take their chances then?

I’m in the same situation and with the same worries. I’m a single parent. I know that Foster carers have been asked to take in children with confirmed Covid if they need looking after. Presumably that is what would happen to me if I was ill. My children would go into care. I dread this illness and I’m staying home as much as possible. I don’t know how a carer would feel taking in someone with such a risk to their family.
