Wine- who is still delivering

Blueblackrose · 27/03/2020 20:54

Naked have stopped
Wine Society have stopped
Aldi have very little in stock for online and delivery though are still delivering.

Totally understand this isn't essential (ishGrin) and staff need to be able to stay at home, but i could due with a mixed case and it's birthday season for my family so my go-to is a case of wine.

Has anyone using a delivery company that has good stock levels/ is still operating?

Majestic I think, but there's a wait of some time.

TheFaerieQueene · 27/03/2020 20:57

Aldi. We got a delivery today. 😇

Blueblackrose · 27/03/2020 21:00

Nope - Majestic stopped taking new orders today according to their website.

^Due to unprecedented demand, we have stopped taking any new orders today.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused and hope to get back to normal as soon as possible^

Laithwaites?

Also, I got a Groupon email today offering different case deals. May be worth checking their website. Or Wowcher. Google wine merchants near you. Someone might pop up that you've not heard of before.

Blueblackrose · 27/03/2020 21:01

Nope Naked are saying
Really sorry. We're not taking order from new customers right now

I couldn’t find anywhere with stock that would deliver on Tuesday... I got onto Naked & Majestic but they had barely any stock.

Blueblackrose · 27/03/2020 21:03

I'm a wine society member - they are my usual online wine merchant (they are really good btw) so I'm not am existing customer anywhere and most places aren't taking orders from new members.

Virgin wines?

PickAChew · 27/03/2020 21:04

Waitrose cellar. Takes about a week, at the moment but nothing on the site to say they've stopped.

DuchenneParent · 27/03/2020 21:05

We got a Virgin Wines delivery the other day. They have a new members deal I think. We have enjoyed what we have tried so far.

www.justerinis.com/
www.bbr.com/
www.uncorked.co.uk/

All still delivering, although slightly longer delivery times.

Blueblackrose · 27/03/2020 21:07

Laithwates
so unfortunately for the time being we are not able to accept orders from first-time customers - my friend is a laithwates person so might get her to order for me. Getting desperate...

Oddbins is delivering, just not next day. Google Noel young wines too if you want an interesting selection.

PickAChew · 27/03/2020 21:08

M&S also have some online stock. They do have a nice looking mixed case

Also, if you are a fan of english wine, the wineries will ship you wine still. Bolney estate has a good range.

Geometricprince · 27/03/2020 21:17

Our local wine shop is delivering, two day delivery. Might be worth checking if you have one nearby.

SpunBodgeSquarepants · 27/03/2020 21:21

Definitely still delivering

Peasinthefreezer · 27/03/2020 21:24

We have a couple of local suppliers to restaurants now delivering in our area - check local Facebook groups for anything similar in your area.

SleepForTheWeak · 27/03/2020 21:29

I would check out local wine and spirit merchants if you have one.

My mum and dad run one and are still doing mail order, I got 12 bottles delivered yesterday!

HairyFloppins · 27/03/2020 21:32

I had a Virgin Wines delivery the other day. Took a bit longer than usual.
