Article in the Guardian. Really touched me and I thought it was worth sharing.

It started off ok, but by the end I thought it was a bit wishy washy and weak. It could have been so much better, much better written.

Agree with Oblomov, it started off okay but then got a bit self indulgent and annoying, especially with all the 'you wills' and the assumptions about how others are apparently going to feel.

NewBrideToBe · 28/03/2020 12:44

It’s the writing equivalent of wanking.

I'd be curious to see your reply, written in Italian

UYScuti · 28/03/2020 12:51

I agree, the author is pleasuring herself 🙈

TheCanterburyWhales · 28/03/2020 12:55

I thought it was a mawkish pile of shite as well.

And every Italian I've asked about this person has said "who?"

Had a common or garden person posted anything similar on MN from Italy, they would have been (and have been) fed to the dogs from posters screaming about scaremongering and it's not going to be like that here, everywhere is different, etc etc.

And for context, I'm another MNer in lockdown in Italy.

Oblomov20 · 28/03/2020 13:51

Eh Paler? Why are you quoting me? 6 other posters have said exactly the same!
