Is it ok to put postcards through neighbours doors?

As above really - I live on an estate with lots of elderly residents (all bungalows!). I haven't seen any sign of a local community response - I want to offer help but don't know my neighbours well, I've signed up for the local mutual aid group on Facebook and the NHS volunteers scheme but I would imagine many of the elderly wouldn't be on social media and the volunteer scheme's not going to be rolled out quite yet. I've got some of those postcards but I wondered if going round putting them through letter boxes might risk spreading the virus more. Does anyone know if the virus can survive on paper? Or any ideas how I could safely get a message to anyone who needs help? Thanks Smile

Just wear gloves when you write and post them.
