Why is all this money coming from?

For years we have been told there isn't money for this and that, with cuts to x, y and z. So where is the government funding all this money now?

I am grateful of course, as I have been put on furlough. I just worry what is going to happen at the end of all this, or even what will happen after the end of May when most of these schemes will stop.

Borrowing for the moment then tax

It is all being borrowed and will all have to be paid back with years and years of austerity measures.

Masses of cuts in the future.

It's essentially our money that they are lending to us. We and our children will be paying it back for a long time.
