Went shopping today, 1st time since last Friday, firstly loads of empty shelves in shop, about the same as last week and shop was quite full of people (large Tesco’s). I haven’t hoarded at all and now it’s getting quite difficult for me, who is buying all this food, houses must be bursting at the seams. Why do they keep saying there isn’t a problem with food, there clearly is, it isn’t getting to the shops. Where are all the cars going? My family are social distancing, we haven’t been out apart from walking around fields, dh is working from home, I’m not working as in a school and not needed, dd 1 is the only one that is carrying on as normal as she works in a preschool and is actually working good Friday and Easter Monday so Key workers don’t need to worry about kids, dd2 is struggling as she is in gcse year group and all her revision and hard work stopped overnight. But friends of ours are still working in what i class as non essential roles. We were having building work done in the garden, garden is a building site so can’t really use garden, slight inconvience but absolutely right that it was stopped. But seen loads of builders driving around today, It really seems like one rule for one group of people and another for others. I am struggling living like this, but I am grateful that I am alive and well, and will continue to live the way we are are until it’s been lifted and to protect lives but why are others seemingly living near normal lives.
