So I've never suffered from anxiety (luckily before), however I'm very anxious about the virus and also along side recent news events with my ex DH, which just adds to it.

I'm so paranoid about symptoms. The last few days I have had a bad headache (top of head and behind eyes), dry mouth, sore throat and tightness on chest. No fever or cough.
Could this be anxiety and tension? I also get sinus problems, so could be that I guess too.
I'm driving myself mad and struggling as I've never felt so anxious about everything

I had this starting two weeks ago.... Headache went quickly, sore throat lasted about a week as did tightness in chest. Never got any snot from it as usually would after sore throat and headache, nor a fever or cough. Nobody in the same house as me got it so I came to the conclusion it was just a cold that didn't come out as much because I rested through it instead of work through it as self isolated straight away. Who knows now!?!

Hope you feel better soon, and try and stay calm as possible- I'm sure it will be a cold same as me, and being calm and resting as much as you can and lots and lots of water xxx

I have been having a tight chest too. I think it’s physical symptoms of anxiety which I have never experienced before either.

It's hard to tell. I had a bit of adore throat and abit of breathlessness but on Monday, it became a very sore throat and pain in back with my lungs feeling like they were on fire. The warmth of shot drink was like drinking boiling water.

I however had no fever and although I felt like coughing and a lot of wracking the throat, had no cough and overall felt absolutely fine. Who knows if it was a mild case of it, most likely something else but definitely not anxiety, not at that level.

I've been having these symptoms since feb, and it is persistent... Due to work related stress...
take it easy,

Rainydayss · 27/03/2020 18:49

Thank you,@mylittleavalon that's exactly what I've got.
Yes you're right, lots of water and rest. I haven't been anywhere for last Friday, well apart from a walk. Its got me really paranoid - however I'm sure we're all in the same boat

I’m in the same boat . Been prescribed propanolol to try and calm me down . Having to constantly take a very deep breath - like sighing, continually, and then coughing . GP thinks it’s a nervous cough and severe anxiety - I was given a load of diazepam last week for the same sort of issues and on sleeping tablets too . Am exhausted and not sure I can do this for 12 weeks, 12 weeks of being frightened I’m going to die sounds horrible .

Hopefully your meds help you @pleasetalkmedown, I guess we will all have to find our own coping strategies but its hard.
I feel guilty as other people are working on the front line and have more risks than me. The news doesn't help, I want to watch it but then don't....
