We are all relieved after a panicky morning but the way A&E have dealt with my mum and another local person is quite confusing.
She is elderley, diabetic with heart disease and had a high temp and breathlessness. During the 999 call they were reassuring when I said no cough. Ambulance arrived in 20 mins. They have admitted her but 99% sure its not Covid. They said her 'lungs are clear'. So sounds like maybe an infection, she's had these before.
Another person we know went to the same hospital in an ambulance and had all the same checks and because he had no cough they weren't worried and sent him home.
Reassuringly both said A&E is spookily quiet.
