He works to midnight and there's no subway after 9. His walk is through the city centre and very isolated.
Can I pick him up and drive him home, he doesn't live with me.

Are you in the uk? If you are then no you can't as he doesn't live with you. I'm not sure what the solution would be! Leave work early?

He can't leave early.

How would he normally get home? If you don't live together, surely you don't pick him up every day?

maddy68 · 26/03/2020 14:13

No it's not ok. He needs to tell his employer that he had no way of returning home after 9. He is willing to change his shift pattern or his boss needs to furlong him so he gets 80%of his salary and he stays at home

Thanks

I can see your concerns. It's really not as simple to say you need to change your shift especially if you work in a supermarket. If only it was that easy 🤣. They won't just let him go either on the 80% Hmm

Thanks, someone realistic! He'd need to lose his shift and a temporary worker would get it.
I don't want him waking home at midnight as the only people on the streets now are beggers and druggies and I've heard muggings are up 100%.

It's a 40 minute walk which he does all the time, but I don't want him doing it now. It's just not safe right now.
