Companies House - contact & late filing

Hello

Can anyone advise?

I missed the deadline to file my accounts for my hobby craft business. I missed the deadline by about 15 mins because I was sick & had been off work (normal job) for 3.5 days prior with a suspected chest infection. I had prepared my accounts prior but was checking something hence waiting to file & tbh when I was ill I forgot all about it till my alarm/reminder went off. I have been fined which is really annoying but I don't even know how to pay as I don't have a cheque book & am self isolating. Their phone lines are closed but I have emailed.

Hi, I had an email yesterday from Companies House advising that companies could apply for up to a 3 month delay to file their accounts. Maybe you could email them to explain, they say to avoid telephone calls at the moment.
