Not feeling well but not classic symptoms

So over the last two days I’ve not been feeling well.

We are already self isolating as I work in a school and am not due in again until Friday. So for the past 6 days apart from one supermarket visit we’ve been in.

Symptoms are - mild sore throat, body aches, intermittent cough (not persistent), diarrhoea and fatigue. No temperature and no difficulty breathing.

I have a strong suspicion that I’ve caught corona and have a mild case but it doesn’t fit the classic symptoms.

This is a post for my own curiosity, I won’t be going to work, we aren’t going out and I won’t be putting anyone else at risk. But has anyone else had these symptoms and is it likely to be covid?

I have no idea, but I have exactly the same symptoms. Just hoping that I start to feel better in the next few days. It's really hard not being able to find out isn't it?

FaithInfinity · 25/03/2020 18:36

That’s similar to how I started last week. But I’m asthmatic so I’ve since had difficulties breathing. Have been told it could be CV19, chose not to go to hospital after for the risk of either spreading it if I do have it or catching it if I don’t! It’s impossible to know without the test but you’ve done the right thing staying home.

This app has just launched today with researchersat kings college to help slow the spread of #COVID19 and identify at risk cases sooner by self-reporting your symptoms daily, even if you feel well🙏🏼. Download the app
covid.joinzoe.com/

Please share the app with everyone you know on WhatsApp. They need to get this to a lot of people fast to collect enough data to see the hidden cases - the iceberg if you like that we are sailing into. Thank you! App is fully functional and will be more beautiful over the next few days!

Share the app and share your “well/ill” status and let’s get some data for the policy makers to work with.

Stay safe; stay healthy. ❤

As a single parent to a 9 year old and having elderly parents who are also self isolating I really hope this is as bad as it gets. I have no back up childcare. Still putting a smile on and researching the Tudor’s with dd today. I can’t sit down for too long as I fall asleep.

Thanks Squiffy01 will do

Not sure what to advise. I’ve had the exact same symptoms

EL8888 · 25/03/2020 18:41

Totally having the falling asleep thing as well

You have not been self-isolating as when doing that you are not allowed to go out at all, even for food and medicines. You have just been social-distancing.
You need to properly self-isolate. When did you last go out? Take 7 days from then and, as long as you aren't unwell afterwards, with a fever or cough, you can then return to work.

Zofloramummy · 25/03/2020 18:56

Yes you are right I’ve been social distancing. This is all new terminology! Last went out on Sunday, I was fine at that point, been unwell since Monday.

I feel ill too. Headache, sore eyes and runny/stuffy nose with sneezing. No temp that I can tell but a little flushed, no cough. Haven’t left the house since the 14 th so 🤷🏽‍♀️

WolfOfOdin · 25/03/2020 19:20

I've had a headache every day for the last 5 days, paracetamol not helping much. I dont have a fever but I'm overheating and my back is wet with sweat. Coughing occasionally but not persistent.

I work in a shop, safety measures only been in place since Monday, really worried I've caught it from work or if I haven't got it at all

Zofloramummy · 26/03/2020 19:00

Well I spent last night sweating buckets and today am aching all over. I’m really tired and I look really white faced. Still got a sore throat and been coughing but so far it’s not as bad as when I had flu in 2012. My chest is clear and although I feel definitely unwell I can still make a cup of tea and a sandwich.

I feel dreadful. Vomited in night last night, felt sick and feverish all day and now just vomited again. Feels like norovirus or something. But I won't rule out atypical coronavirus. We are already self-isolating due to one of the kids having a high temp a few days ago.

mummabubs · 26/03/2020 20:21

Very similar to you OP for the past few days. I explained to my boss I don't feel terrible but I don't feel "well" either. I'm an NHS employee and have been told I'll be tested in the near future. Half of me is convinced this is just a mixture of being rundown and a different milder virus, but another part of me is wondering if there's a chance it could be given that some people who've been confirmed to have it are also entirely asymptomatic.

BillywilliamV · 26/03/2020 20:24

Other illnesses are avsilable!

Lumisade · 26/03/2020 20:30

OP I had the exact same symptoms in January, I think it was a different virus.

bumblenbean · 26/03/2020 20:42

Similar symptoms here for last couple of days - mild sore/scratchy throat, tiredness and very intermittent/minor cough. Feels like the start of a cold so it probably is - but in the back of my mind I’m slightly freaking out it’s the onset of CV.

Zofloramummy · 27/03/2020 20:17

Day 3 here. Still got a sore throat, no appetite, diarrhoea, body aches and hot sweats/chills. Cough is still intermittent. Am absolutely wiped out and have done nothing all day apart from food and drinks for dd. Making sure I’m hydrated and taking vit d and paracetamol.

Hope you are all doing ok.
