Aibu to think my neighbour is on glue

Last Tue I started self isolating after feeling unwell. (Was most likely a normal cold) I messaged her to tell her because I had a sign on door saying I wouldn't answer door for any delivery to phone me/leave on doorstep. She has to walk past my front door to get her bins/comes past to call her cat in so didn't want her to worry.

She messaged back saying she wasn't leaving house either after Friday (random day choice) because she is very high risk so would be self isolating for her protection.

Friday has come and gone. Not 1 day has she been in the house. She has been in and out in and out I see her coming and going in car. Sometimes gone for half the day.

She says her adult children will drop food for her. She has 3 adult sons, 1 lived with her and the other 2 have been over multiple times a day coming in to visit in past 2 days. They come in the house all scream and shout at each other then drive off at speed.

Every so often she will message asking how I am and in the message she will then say yes that's me now in the house and not going out again now...next day away out again. Why lie?!

Just stay in your house ffs. Also stop telling me you're so super high risk then not doing anything to protect yourself!

She's been out chatting in close contact with neighbour on other side. Opening door directly to delivery men/takeaway drivers and having close contact.

Not spying on her but can see it all out my window/walls paper thin. And I'm shielding so don't have much else to do.

Aibu to think she is behaving in a batshit way?

Sorry op, but whilst she may not be following the information, that's a pretty detailed run down your giving down there for someone who isn't spying Grin

Blimey you’re really interested in what she does. Confused

IHaveBrilloHair · 25/03/2020 17:32

She sounds like an idiot, deffo on glue.
I live on a main road in a flat so I can't help but see/hear what the neighbours do, no need to spy.

She SLAMS the front door which makes my front room vibrate and then sits and revs the car repeatedly outside. So fairly easy to tell when she is leaving.

Again front door SLAMS. Screaming and shouting when sons come over.

If she isn't isolating why keep MESSAGING ME to tell me she is?!

@Lifesavesocialdistance Grin if I tried I could spy much more detail 8 days in isolation so far...and I'm in solo isolation for at least 12 weeks.

I might start compiling a list of number of seagulls outside?

I'm counting how many days until someone picks up the random glove on the pavement outside.
3 so far.
