Never have I been more glad to be a lone parent!

Single parent, 2 primary children 7 and 9

We have got in to the groove of doing school work (blown away by the effort and interesting work the teachers have put together at such short notice). We have a lovely routine going. The weather is stunning. I’m catching up on lots of jobs. In 100% up to date on laundry, the house feels.... happy and settled and organised.

No mess causing second adult
No grumpy very busy and terribly important second adult
No factoring in their requirements for food. We eat what I prepare. End of.

In short - I’m loving being queen of my castle!

Any other single parents feeling the same?!

Yes! But always do. Not just in times of global pandemic. Grin

Obviously worried if I get it how I’d cope (hoping ex would step up)!

But the idea of being cooped up with an adult that I perhaps clashed with re parenting / food / housework etc - would make a bad Situation so much, and from the relationship board pre corona.... this must be occurring in many many households
