UNESCO are reporting that nearly 80% of the world’s student population are currently affected by school closures, which really brings home the scale of this.

It also shows that missed education is a problem that isn’t going to be solved by individual teachers uploading worksheets to Google Classroom (especially as this will massively increase the already troubling disadvantage gap).

Some sort of co-ordinated effort is needed, possibly via TV as well as internet as more widely available?
