so I’m a little confused and a little angry with my boss. I work for this garden centre and I’ve seen other local GCs taking orders and payments over the phone and delivering to people. Now I think this is good, especially for those most vulnerable to give them things to do but he still expects his staff to work as normal and he doesn’t seem to be taking social distancing seriously! Surely 2 people in a van at close proximity is not social distancing?
I’m in a difficult situation. I have 2 children, youngest is 8 months, I have no childcare, I can no longer work my hours so what do I do? He’s told me he ‘should’ be able to get me on 80% and he will know more later this week but then how’s that fair for the other employees that have to go in?
I have been on maternity leave and only started back last week and my boss said I might not even qualify for the 80%? But I was still an employee so surely I would still receive this?
If anyone can give me a little guidance that would be great. I just can’t wait for this to be all over 😔
