Friends keep pestering me to go on a dog walk!

Friends keep asking to meet up for a dog walk, and that it is fine if we stay the recommended distance apart... I respond by saying but you are not part of my household, I understand you are bored and lonely but we shouldn't even meet regardless of how far apart we stand from eachother to walk the dogs!

I am an NHS key worker and have been to work the past few days, so I have been in (distant) contact with people outside my household. Therefore it would be completely irresponsible of me to go for a dog walk with a friend at a distance!

It is really frustrating me that they just don't get it and keep asking every day.

DD's friend invited her along to walk the dog yesterday. I just put my foot down and said no, she doesn't live here (although it has felt like it sometimes Grin)

Would it be worth being a bit blunt and simply saying that they need to walk their dog alone for the foreseeable future to help save lives. Not doing this is selfish and irresponsible, and maybe they'll finally get the message?

Sounds annoying. Does she live alone and feel lonely? I think you need to be more blunt with her and offer to have a video call catch up instead or something.
