How strict are your work places being about self isolating with symptoms?

For example if you have a cough and cold but no temperature, are your workplaces saying to stay at home? How about if your children have colds and coughs?

I'm off but dh has to be in work because his boss is a wee prick. In his work you can cough away, plenty of customers coming in and nobody paying any attention to social distancing guidelines or handwashing. If you are showing symptoms you are still expected to go in, he works in a small garage with 4 other people.
