Any diabetes had "the letter" yet?

Just wondering if any fellow diabetes have received a letter about self isolating as yet? On the government's website we are vulnerable but dont seem to be classed as high ( I think that's good, I hope) iv already been off work since sunday ( supermarket warehouse) my boss has very generously let me use holidays to self isolate, due to him thinking I will get the letter. Now his head office are getting on to him to see my letter that iv yet to receive. T2 diabetic. Under control. Sorry for rambling on. Just very confused right now

I don’t think diabetics are receiving these letters. My husband is type 1 and is still expected into workSad

I am diabetic and expecting a letter from HMG regarding help with food deliveries. Not sure when it will arrive.

Nope no letter or contact but only type 2

If you are classed as highly vulnerable - and to be in that category you will probably have to have another condition not just diabetes - you will get a text message if you have given your GP your mobile phone number. It is then followed a day or two afterwards by the letter.

If your GP doesn't class you as highly vulnerable but one of the specialities treating you does, contact will follow the same pattern.

The letter only goes to the very vulnerable group, whereas most diabetics are only on the vulnerable group. There has not been any government guidance for people who are vulnerable group but also key workers as far as I know.

Thank you all. It's all really confusing right now with the information that's being released, nothing really seems to be set in concrete. Iv got no other conditions so hopefully I can continue to work. Not sure if that's a good thing or not in the current state of the world.

Acas website says your employers must take special care to make sure vulnerable people are protected at work www.acas.org.uk/coronavirus

I got a text last night, but I’m also pregnant. When I called my Gp to confirm if it was ment for me they said yes. Diabetic on insulin (aren’t all type 1 on insulin?) and pregnant. Dm hasn’t received one but she is type 2, but we live in different parts of London.

Maybe your trust are sending letters. Wait a bit longer or ask your Gp surgery.
