Anyone else had a text from the government this afternoon, reminding them to stay at home and click on a link for more info?

Just wondering if the government is texting everyone or if this is a scam. I haven't clicked the link

Yes, everyone should have got it. There was an announcement last night that all UK networks were being asked to send a mass text.

I had it a few hours ago. Link goes to government website (not particularly thorough but it’s there if you’re interested).

I didnt trust it either. Knowing it is legit from the government im still not sure id trust it

I had it about 30 minutes ago. My DM and DF had theirs this afternoon.

I still haven’t had mine. Fiancé had his about 45 minutes ago

I got it. Which is impressive because mine is a giffgaff number I rarely use (and which is currently without credit).

I got mine just after I got back from getting some shopping for my elderly neighbour. I got a bit paranoid!

Yes, I had it this afternoon on my personal phone and this evening on my work phone.

You don't need to click the link - I never do for safety reasons. I just google what the text says and if it's legit, you'll get the gist of it ither places online or youtube videos. It's easy to confirm. This one is legit once I googled but I still didn't/don't click links.

I got mine in the morning or early afternoon (not sure of time anymore but it's been ages).
