I completely agree with staying At home, please don't attack me, I'm trying to help the vulnerable.

Is a job interview with a care company to help with the current situation essential..? Social distancing would be put In place for the interview, but I need to Attend as I have to take documents in. I have a good chance of getting it due to previous experience. I can 100% rearrange, but it means I may not be able to help the vulnerable now when they need it most, right now. Wwyd?

If it an essential service and they need more people to run it then your interview is essential

pumpkinpie01 · 24/03/2020 13:14

Go , they need you .

Care staff are frontline workers and in short supply. You are very much needed.

This isn’t pathetic some allotment, spoilt dog owner, nanny, cleaner situation I’ve seen on here.

Go for it. Good luck!

PanicOnTheStreets85 · 24/03/2020 13:17

Yes, although if they could interview you over the phone then that would be better.

Thank you. I couldn't make my mind up, but I will be going! It's not for a couple of days yet. Thank you!

Interview should be done remotely/virtually. Docs can be scanned/photographed and then inspected on first day of role as per new DBS regulations

Spied · 24/03/2020 13:18

I'd call and ask that I send the documents by post or email and speak to the interviewer by phone.
If you haven't got crb check these can take a while to get through. If you have then I see no reason you can't send it to them?
I very much doubt you'll be starting work immediately as each company will have it's own training procedures you will need to complete before you start the job even if you've completed training with another company.
Unfortunately I do not personally think things will move very fast.
I think they will postpone.
