Can children get a viral rash with covid-19?

I've been self isolating as my daughter has had some of the usual symptoms: cough, temperature, fatigue, headache, sore throat.
She has now developed a viral rash. My younger daughter has much lesser symptoms but also has the same rash (though with fewer spots).

Is a viral rash something children can get with any virus, or does it's presence mean that this is some other virus completely?

My two grandkids (ages 2 and 4) that are in my care have the same thing. Their sickness seems unending and the symptoms just a little different than normal. They have had other viruses, but this rash seems over the top. I have been wondering if we have had covid 19 as well.

Fyi, the doctor told me to not bathe them as much and moisturize with a cream you will find with other eczema creams as well as a 1% hydrocortisone cream. I have only used since yesterday and there is a noticeable improvement. I don't think you can use the hydrocortisone on the face.
