Can I take my mum to hospital?

My elderly mum has been referred for an urgent eye scan - something unusual was seen at the back of her eye - and the appointment is tomorrow. Reading between the lines I think they’re looking for cancer.

She lives 150 miles from me and the hospital is 30 miles from her house. I was going to drive up there and take her tomorrow.

Anyone got any idea whether I can still do this?

You should ring them if you can. There will be a number on her appointment letter.

I’m going to phone in the morning to check the appointment is still on, but I’m not sure if I’m allowed to make the journey.
