I know a car dealership calling all staff in tomorrow.

OP posts:

He said 'Travelling to and from work, but only where this is absolutely necessary and cannot be done from home.'

Unless absolutely necessary is defined, plenty of employers will interpret their business as 'absolutely necessary'.

Be interested to hear what police say. The Corona bill is not through yet and he only announced it couple of hours back.

I would assume lots of people are ‘going into work tomorrow’ to clear desks, do rotas for return, get laptop/paperwork, call a customer, make sure an order has gone through, lock up paperwork etc, tell staff what’s happening next and how to stay in touch and secure the premises.

I think emailing the police an hour after the measures have been announced is premature.

Plenty of people have mercs Grin

Eh? Why are you getting involved 😬

nancy75 · 23/03/2020 22:18

Dp works in a pub, they closed on Friday but he had to go in today to clean the lines, empty the pumps & sort out the food in the kitchen. The other option was leave it for 3 months & come back to a pub full of rats! Places will need winding up tomorrow before people can just stop going in.

You e-mailed the police? 😂😂 You also have 900 big rolls and 87 bags of pasta don't you OP....

Thespiceisright · 23/03/2020 22:26

MeadowHay · 23/03/2020 22:58

Wishing you and yours all the best @Fluffycloudland77 during this difficult time x

jakeyboy1 · 23/03/2020 23:02

@fluffycloudland77 are you my sister ;)

I don't know who you report to. We apparently only have 6 police on 999 response for our whole borough at any one time so I'd love to know where they are all going to come from.

penisbeakers · 23/03/2020 23:57

999 immediately, make sure you tell frantically down the phone at them, quick get a post on to social media shaming them, maybe even turn up at 9am with a claxon and a home made placard with unclean written on it.

hahahahahahahahahahahah
