thepooptool.com/

No mention of women's need when peeing or having a period!

This had been linked on the bbc btw!

I'm thankful the only other female in my house is a cat otherwise we'd be out of loo roll by now.

Apolloanddaphne · 23/03/2020 17:34

It isn't sexist, it is a bit of light fun! I have enough loo roll for 80 days apparently.

Seventyone72seventy3 · 23/03/2020 17:35

It's a bit daft but I wouldn't take it too seriously. I have two different brands of toilet paper at home and they are completely different sizes - so how would that even work? There isn't a standard size.

raisinyorkie · 23/03/2020 17:37

I know its not so serious but it is true women will need more?

You're right. Read The Invisible Woman.

kittykat7210 · 23/03/2020 17:42

Also doesn’t take into account people like my husband with crohns who use the toilet upwards of 6 times daily for a s**t

Seventyone72seventy3 · 23/03/2020 17:44

Well, it's an average so maybe it does take everybody into account?

NoMorePoliticsPlease · 23/03/2020 17:44

There was a bog roll use thread yesterday talking about fold, scrunch use etc. I had never heard of the wind it round your fist method and saw an actor doing it on tv last light, it must have used 20 sheets, a real drain blocker

FallonSwift · 23/03/2020 18:08

I read the thread last night about scrunch vs fold. I was a scruncher but having now started folding, I am using less!

MrsTerryPratchett · 23/03/2020 18:13

It isn't sexist, it is a bit of light fun!

So often things are both.

Ginnymweasley · 23/03/2020 18:18

Does it account for a 5 year old who seems to think you need about 10 sheets?? Thankgod I managed to get a 9 pack a few days ago. Even with her overuse we should survive a few weeks

Falangalangadingdang · 23/03/2020 18:25

It also doesn't take in to account of ibd or ibs. But I think now is t the time to debate this.

Now is the time to use this tool in a minor attempt to stop the loo roll stockpiling.

Soubriquet · 23/03/2020 18:26

I think it’s a very basic model just to make people think

If it was more intense, then you could calculate women and periods, chrones and anything else that causes extra toilet paper usage

Squigean · 23/03/2020 18:28

Doesn't really mention anything about what it's used for. (Mind you I suppose it does imply it's just poo.) Not too sure how toilet roll stats are gathered: Observation? Street survey?

Tell you something, the calculator is not made for the panic hoaders though as it only goes up to 50 rolls!

Though it is true that 'average person' is measure from stats gathered about men.
