Not judging you, maybe if I had the money I would of also done so.
Can I ask for your reasons why and did you think to yourselves about people that wasn't in a position to buy any more than what they normally would on a weekly basis but now can't even buy basics. As this goes on would you share what you have stockpiled with those that have are running out of the basics as they are simply not able to buy them. Last week I had to put myself at risk by going to the supermarket 4 times instead of just the once just to get the most basic of items

I also prepped for Brexit so had all this stuff for a while and not needed to shop recently beyond fresh stuff. I also think a lot of it isn’t even stockpiling. We normally have lunch out a lot, kids eat at school, DH gets breakfast at the office etc. Now we are a family of five, at home, for three meals plus snacks every day. I buy more bread, milk etc every week as a result, probably double/triple the amount I did before, and that’s replicated across every household in the UK to a greater or lesser degree.

Agreed hazel

I bought extra as we have family abroad that have been on lockdown so I was ahead of the game. We have vulnerable members of the family. I still think the most infectious place right now is the supermarket so I wanted to avoid there.
