Will major construction works be postponed?

At the beginning of April, the Housing Association I rent from are demolishing 22 flats and building two 5 story blocks on the site. I’m praying the work is postponed as the thought of being stuck at home surrounded by the racket of building equipment, dust and dirt is not a happy one. I have a tiny balcony which i hoped would mean I could get some fresh air over the summer but the site is about 6 steps distance across the road. I’m literally going to be living in the middle of it. Anyone want to hazard a guess as to chances it will be delayed ?

I'd guess they'll postpone. DH works in construction. He's off now anyway as he's vulnerable but has been told the site will shut at the end of the week at the latest. That site is new housing being built - I think construction is only going to be classed as essential for urgent/major repairs for now. Hope you get to keep your fresh air

I’m really sad for everyone in the industry but being totally selfish I’m glad you’ve said they will likely postpone. The thought of being able to sit out on my little balcony was something I was looking forward to during all this madness. There’s no garden area so this is going to be the only outdoors.
