Long term use of Sainsbury’s home delivery, bought a delivery pass for years, never actually go to the supermarket. I am on ESA in the Support group although I get no actual money as my husband earns over the threshold now. We use delivery as a way to help preserve my health normally.
I am in the at risk category, I am on prescription medication that may have a negative impact on my outcomes if I do contract Covid19. I also have additional health issues as well as dealing with heavy abnormal bleeding and chronic iron deficiency which is hard to treat.
My husband is fairy fit and well (working from home now) and can drive but we are worried if he goes out he will bring the virus back and that if I get it I will become very sick and be unlikely to be given critical care if needed.
I would like to continue using the delivery service I always have or get a click and collect even just once a fortnight would help but nothing is available. My Sainsbury’s account is in my husbands name, would we be able to apply for a vulnerable person priority? If you were in my position would you?
I don’t want to take help away from people who really need it and have no other options but I see so many comments on here that supermarkets are viral hotbeds and best avoided and I’m scared.
