The amount of coronavirus-related idiocy I have seen today has almost made me scream out loud.

  1. Woman posting on FB asking if taking her kids on a playdate breaks isolation rules.
  2. People storming supermarkets at NHS hour, pushing NHS staff out of the way
  3. A thread on here where the OP states she popped to MIL's for mothers day, believing as her family are symptomless that makes it okay

This is life and death!!! Is everyone just playing dumb or are they actually dumb? Who on earth cant use google and search for CORONAVIRUS GOVERNMENT ADVICE?

Just having a moment of despair! We will be in isolation forever at this rate!

OP posts:
MissyJane2 · 23/03/2020 00:22

Well we are not in isolation yet.

managedmis · 23/03/2020 00:29

There you have it, op, missy says it all

Falacy · 23/03/2020 00:36

Well we are not in isolation yet.

😭😭😭

Thepigeonsarecoming · 23/03/2020 00:37

Please if you do scream, do it at a safe distance 😂

MiniMum97 · 23/03/2020 00:38

@MissyJane2 I hope you are joking.

MissyJane2 · 23/03/2020 00:48

But we are one step away from it. The government has ordered all restaurants, cafes,Cinemas, and even the gyms to close and they have done. Resturants are only open for takeaways and they have signs in the windows stating this.

A lot of shops like Primark, John Lewis and Debenhams are closed until further notice, pubs are also closed and London Transoprt have restricted their services.

Trains and buses are still running but reduced service. But people are still gathering in large numbers so they have now closed the parks as well.

I am watching both Sky and BBC news on TV and Boris Johnson the Prime minister said if people don't maintain social distancing and listen to the guidelines, the government will have to take tougher measures. Which could be lockdown if people do not comply with the governments and the NHS advice to social distance and not have large gatherings or even small social gatherings.

But most of us to not want to stop doing those things. Indeed when I was out today I saw a couple holding hands while walking in the street. And the government does not like it and a group of young people were walking down the street laughing and shouting "Coronavirus" to everybody passing them.

If people don't stop behaving this way the Prime Minister is going to get fed up and put us all in Lockdown. So it's up to us to behave ourselves is what the government is saying. "behave or else" Lockdown I think it will happen but I hope it does not.

MissyJane2 · 23/03/2020 00:50

I think we should take what the Prime Minster said on ther news as a warning. If we don't stop doing what we are doing they will put us on Lockdown.
All of us.

playthestation · 23/03/2020 01:03

Well we are not in isolation yet.

Any one with an ounce of common sense is able to follow social distancing measures. It's only the slightly hard of thinking who seem to think we need the army standing outside our front doors to make them stay in. We can choose to isolate.

Hugt · 23/03/2020 01:06

All the photos of rammed parks
I just made a post when i realised a local zoo was open and it turns out theres loads of them open

A local cafe to uss has a "self isolation" tent to pick up food, and is selling antiviral hand sanitizer made out of witchhazel and teatree claiming its better than all the commercial hand gels

Im screaming into the wind too!

sunshine19781 · 23/03/2020 01:09

Why did they not ask the shops to close? All except food shops, pharmacies etc.. find that odd. People have been out window shopping..

DustyMaiden · 23/03/2020 01:11

A hotel bar is having lock-ins. Lots of local pub goers are now there.

Are you sure Dusty?

All pubs and bars have been ordered to close since Friday and group gatherings have been banned.
So if the pubs are having private party's that's illegal now.

DustyMaiden · 23/03/2020 01:29

Yes, it’s illegal and yes I’m sure.
