Any thoughts on the removal business as this is a non-essential service (unless anyone can shed any light). How would an employer mitigate risk to staff working in houses and packing personal possessions? Solicitors are pushing through transactions to maximise revenue as are the BAR member companies. Fully sympathetic to people who are in the process of moving house, but after existing moves are completed where would everyone stand? On any new bookings would an employer be legally and financially liable if a worker became ill when it could be reasonably avoided by temporarily suspending operations - especially given the assistance offered by the government? It’s just that the industry is pretty cut-throat and some companies are less than scrupulous when considering competition.
