Headteacher of primary school has just died

My niece has received an email from her dad's school in Barrow in Furness to say that the head, who's been battling Covid in hospital has very sadly died today.

My thoughts go out to her family and everyone associated with the school. I don't know any more than this.

How sad. I hear from family in the area that there are a lot of cases in Cumbria. My sympathies to her family & the school.

I live in the town ,and It's so sad to hear this today, we were all thinking of her since she took poorly. she seemed to be a very loved headmistress. My thoughts go to her family and friends.
