I've seen it on threads. I've seen it on Facebook. I've heard it in real life.
"Life isn't worth living if I need to stay cooped up!"
"I'd rather take my chances with the virus!"
"I'll go stir-crazy stuck in the house"
Every time I hear it I cringe.
Every time I hear it from someone who is actually a high risk I cringe even more.
It sounds like a massive cop out to me.
Of course it's going to be difficult. We are all in the same boat. We are all going to suffer.
Can people please spare a thought for the mental health of our NHS staff who are going to witness with their own eyes, completely fucking helpless, as lots and lots of people die. Lots of people will die and there is absolutely nothing they can do for them.
If anyone says they can't stay home due to their "mental health" please watch this video. This is what you're contributing to. There is no cure. People go into the ICU and they rarely come out.
Think about that for a second.
