Lost taste and smell?

Dh has been ill for about 3 weeks now. He’s had a cough, temp every now and again, headaches and just generally poorly. He’s self isolating but is supposed to go back work on the 30th.

The last week he’s complained of losing his smell and taste. He can’t taste anything and has moaned every day about it.

Today I read it’s one of the symptoms?!

We thought he might just have a sinus infection. Iv caught whatever he’s had but I’m more sneezing, mucusy cough, runny nose.

Yes that can be a symptom. And mucosy coughs, sneezing and runny noses can be symptoms too. You both need to be self isolating. Hopefully it will be mild.

We’ve been self isolating for a while now. It doesn’t seem to be going 😩

It may be a symptom but I get these every time I have a cold, complete loss of taste and smell and other symptoms so probably just viral. I think he would probably know if he had it.
