This seems ridiculous to me.

I know outdoor places have been (too) busy this weekend but that was because of a particular set of circumstances. The first good weekend in ages coinciding with mothers days and family plans being disrupted because of the restaurants closing.

By tomorrow they will be back to normal - even people not at work are working from home won't be out and about.

We've been advised we should continue to get exercise outdoors, now we have far fewer places to do it in, which makes the people density higher!

My local big park has closed the car parks, to cut down on numbers visiting. It's a great idea. Especially as surrounding roads are mainly double yellow lines, because of the hospital near by.

I drove to my local farm shop along very rural lanes. People were parked up all over the place and walking down the middle of the road. Obviously not local because these lanes are well used and not quiet backwaters. There’s no way I would walk along our lane, far too dangerous. They were parked up in passing points and field entrances causing no end of problems for the farm vehicles.
By all means drive into the countryside for a walk but be sensible people. Farmers are not the most patient of people and you may come back to find your car has been towed (by a tractor) and for god sake don’t walk in rural lanes. Find a walk that is on a public right of way. They shoot loose dogs at this time of year and ask questions later so keep your dog on a lead. And please close gates.

They could manage the numbers or restrict the parking?

How would that help?

You’re clearly one of the ‘I want to go so will’ brigade - why would anyone else who thinks they can go, think any differently?
