I wouldn’t be so quick to believe The Guardian. They’re highly biased in favour of the left

Thenose · 22/03/2020 18:01

The claim came from the Sunday Times, not the Guardian. ST is centre-right.

SeptemberWeddingIHope · 22/03/2020 18:03

He should realise he and the rest of his cronies are not immune and could die themselves

Peapod29 · 22/03/2020 18:04

Yes, it was the times. Tbh it wouldn’t surprise me. It might explain The weird way in which our government have gone about tackling the crisis and the massive u turn.

LadyTiredWinterBottom2 · 22/03/2020 18:05

I wouldn't be surprised, he's a massive cnut.

ThanosSavedMe · 22/03/2020 18:07

Anyone surprised by this?

VettiyaIruken · 22/03/2020 18:08

Why are they denying it? Didn't Boris say that we were aiming for herd immunity and that we will all lose loved ones? I think his words were something like
many more families will lose loved ones before their time. And that certain groups are most vulnerable?

Isn't that basically the same thing? Just vaguely put.

SouthWestmom · 22/03/2020 18:31

It sounds like something some people would argue for if you are going for big picture. Then says he changed his mind when he saw the projected numbers on 12 March.

Sargass0 · 22/03/2020 18:45

OK. Doesnt surprise me but what do we do with information?

ocarinan · 22/03/2020 21:04

What a twat.

endofthelinefinally · 22/03/2020 21:06

Not the least bit surprised.

Amboseli · 22/03/2020 21:10

Hopefully he'll be got rid of he can be blamed for herd immunity strategy which has now been abandoned as unachievable without huge loss of life. BJ would happily get rid of him if it means he can save his own skin.

endofthelinefinally · 22/03/2020 21:12

He is running the country, so might be tricky to get rid.

TheABC · 22/03/2020 21:12

Whatever happens now, Johnson will be remembered for his role in this pandemic. If the death-rate is high, questions are going to be asked about how he handled it. At its worst, he will be "the prime minister who killed off mum".

I fundamentally disagree with the PM's approach on most things, but I hope he got it right for this crisis. The fewer people dead, the better.

Peninsula · 22/03/2020 21:13

Then says he changed his mind when he saw the projected numbers on 12 March
Probably only worried about losing Tory voters

ChilliMayo · 22/03/2020 21:22

I think part of the reason for Boris's wide eyed shell shocked persona at the daily briefings is his realisation that Robo-politico like Cuntings is not what is going to get us through here.
Boris is having to listen to a lot of different viewpoints and he's finding that part of his brain actually respects them. The other part is still screaming about that.

Boris is waking up to the fact that he has to engage his brain and not just sit back and leave others to do the work.

Vincent05 · 22/03/2020 21:30

The herd immunity theory is likely to kill half a million. Boris Johnson should be held to account for following this theory. If we'd gone for test, test, isolate, trace in contacts we would be in a much better situation now. As it is we don't know who has the virus or where it is as we've only tested the seriously ill. This virus could yet mutate into a more deadly version. The government have got this very very wrong in my opinion. I've written to my MP asking for total lockdown to try to contain it

DeRigueurMortis · 22/03/2020 21:35

I've no idea if he said it or not but frankly it's the sort of thing I can imagine him saying and that really just a measure of the sort of person I think he is.

Fluffycloudland77 · 22/03/2020 21:41

Doesn’t surprise me at all. I have a deep distrust of him.

KimchiLaLa · 22/03/2020 21:42

I'm sure he did. Fucking twat. I hope he gets it. Sorry, but I do.

Amboseli · 22/03/2020 21:53

@KimchiLaLa, yes him and Nigel Garage.

Amboseli · 22/03/2020 21:54

Farage!
