Likelihood of June holiday?

We're supposed to be going to Majorca June 22nd. We can cancel up to 2 weeks before we go and get a full refund, or if we are told we can't go we will get a refund.

Would you cancel now and forget it for this year or hold on to hope?

I’d cancel then at least you’ve got the money. You can always rebook later when things have calmed down (and prices may have dropped).

My PIL cancelled their May holiday to Majorca and their hotel put up prices by £3k in September to compensate for the loss!

I’d cancel and keep your money. I think it’s unlikely things will be back to normal

So either way you can get a refund up until May sometime? In that case I would sit tight. It's unlikely, but it didn't make a difference in terms of your money back anyway.

Cancel now.
The situation will not improve for months imo.

If there's a chance the company you booked through could go into liquidation, then I'd get a refund now.

And don't go on holiday in the uk. Local facilities in smaller places are poor anyway, and not equipped to cope with infected holiday makers, let alone the extra risk to the local population.

Don’t cancel...wait until you are told you can’t go.
Give the airlines and their workers a chance.

Yeah I'm not cancelling my May holiday until told not to travel then I'll get my refund .

I think there is some hope that by June / July things may not be so bad but again I don't know so maybe wait a while .
