Is there or has there been a press conference today?
Oaksquarebox · 22/03/2020 15:49
Has anything been on or due?
Oaksquarebox · 22/03/2020 16:54
Thanks. Just waiting on it coming on.
I feel really anxious.
Smellbellina · 22/03/2020 16:55
Waiting too, hoping he’s going to be as direct as Nicola Sturgen was in hers!
MinesaBottle · 22/03/2020 16:57
Nicola Sturgeon was fantastic. Yes I hope Boris is even half as strong and direct!
Smellbellina · 22/03/2020 17:01
I only just saw her speech, she was very clear! Can’t wait to see how BJ approaches this, I can’t imagine him being as direct, he’s too keen on being the cheeky chappy everyone loves.
middleager · 22/03/2020 17:06
I want Nicola or the Irish PM to lead us right now.
Boris won't be direct. Mumbling, apologetic, joking.
It'll be like schools, waiting for close down all week.
I feel sick waiting
Most of my anxiety stems from seeing people out there behaving outrageously, along with the dire food situation.
The actual virus isn't top.
Hotwaterbottlelove · 22/03/2020 17:08
I'm not able to watch, could someone update the general message on here please?
Smellbellina · 22/03/2020 17:53
BJ has skirted around the issues, he so wants everyone to get on and enjoy life but it would be lovely if they could be sensible. They might Urr, umm maybe need to look at further measures if people can’t be sensible, maybe, umm, urr, but obviously he doesn’t want to spoil people’s fun because he IS fun, maybe umm, well, let’s follow the science.
The deputy medical officer has taken over trying to reinforce the point that people really do need to socially distance themselves.
Those that are most vulnerable will be receiving letters this week, there will be a service available for those that don’t have any family/friends/neighbours to assist them with resources. It will be free but they will be looking to refine the service with the assistance of supermarkets, hopefully.
BJ has grown a bit more of a back bone after the DCO tackled the question of social distancing and is asking people to stay at home where at all possible. He’s so insipid.
