Was told by 111 Consultant I don't have CV despite dry cough and breathlessness

I've had a dry cough and am currently breathlessness (struggling to finish sentences and feel like I'm breathing through a straw) but apparently because I don't have a fever the consultant has informed me that I don't have CV and to "touch base with my GP."
Does this sound correct? Just to say, never in my life have my lungs felt like this. They feel totally inflated and I feel like I've had dust and chemicals sprayed inside.

All the guidance says cough or fever (not and). Otherwise we're isolating for nothing!

Sorry, just to add I am an asthmatic but this doesn't feel like asthma and my inhalers are not touching it.

Ring 111 back and stress that your inhalers aren’t touching it.

no my best friend is a confirmed case but didnt have a fever. was only confirmed as feeling generally Ill, dizzy, cough and bad chest and front line nhs so they were tested. Unless you need immediate hospital treatment thought 111 would only say just stay in the house for 7 days (14 if a family) even if it is CV

What difference does it make to you though? The action you take is the same. Self isolate, if you're condition becomes dangerous, call an ambulance regardless of what you have.

If you are asthmatic, you will know what warning signs to watch out with regarding our oxygen levels.

Hope you feel better soon.
