Thought it might be nice to make some recommendations to others while we socially isolate.

I have watched Deep Water on Netflix which was very good and now enjoying The English Game.

What a good idea.

I watched Trigonometry (highly recommended) on iPlayer, and we're watching Years and Years which we missed at the time.

Is the Deep Water you're recommending the Australian one in Netflix, not the ITV one?

pilates · 22/03/2020 07:30

Yes the Australian one.

Thank you. White others join the thread, Belgravia is enjoyable, but weekly. All of Last Tango should be on the iPlayer too if you've not seen that.

DinkyDaisy · 22/03/2020 07:44

Lowering the tone, me and my boys been watching old episodes of Death in Paradise each night. We enjoy the jaunty tune that happens straight after the murder...

RockingMyFiftiesNot · 22/03/2020 07:47

The Stranger (Netflix); the Capture( (iPlayer); Noughts and Crosses (first 3 episodes via iPlayer, 3 more to go.

pilates · 22/03/2020 07:51

Yes The Stranger I enjoyed too. Looking forward to Belgravia tonight.

We watched Dracula which was on bbc over the new year. I really enjoyed it. Can't wait for episode 2 and 3.

Breeders is very good on sky, but a little to close to home 😂

Tbh I'm not great at watch tv. Short attention span 😬

YessicaHaircut · 22/03/2020 07:54

Episodes on Netflix - we’ve watched the first season and halfway through the second. It’s surprisingly funny! Also Better Call Saul which has a new episode each Tuesday and planning to start on Ozark when the new season is released on Friday.
On regular tv, Race Across the World on a Sunday and Masterchef a couple of times during the week.

Racheyg · 22/03/2020 07:55

Also just brought Disney plus so I'm guessing a hell of a lot of Disney/Pixar etc in the next few weeks months

Aebj · 22/03/2020 07:55

Lol I thought you meant literally right now!! I’m watching the last AFL game. Go the Eagles!! It’s the last game as it’s been decided in the last couple of hours to cancel footy till end of May , at the earliest!
Also marking my place as I need something to do! I like downtown abbey, silent witness, casualty . So what might I like😂😂😂😂

WhentheDealGoesDown1 · 22/03/2020 08:00

BBC has put all 10 series of Spooks on iPlayer, lots of younger people probably haven't seen it as it started in 2002. Mallory Towers (Enid Blyton) is on iPlayer from tomorrow so really looking forward to that.

I think I might take a look at Breeders mentioned above

Roussillon849 · 22/03/2020 08:09

OH MY GOD THEY'VE MADE A SERIES OUT OF MALLORY TOWERS?!?!?!?! Darrell Rivers was my childhood hero!!!! Thank you for that.

dorapicasso · 22/03/2020 08:19

Mallory Towers!!!! All of a sudden my morning feels much brighter

JayDot500 · 22/03/2020 08:22

On YouTube, there are plenty of walking tours. I'm currently 'touring' Siena Grin. (4K Urban Life's video)

Helps with background noise and relaxation. My 4 year old has become interested in these videos too.

Aswellaslocal · 22/03/2020 08:29

I need something to watch with my 12yo Ds. Not sure he’ll want to watch Mallory towers sadly

LinesmanMinnelli · 22/03/2020 08:32

Just started watching Avenue 5

LadyTiredWinterBottom2 · 22/03/2020 08:35

If you haven't seen it, The Stranger is gripping.

The Keepers. Don't Fuck with Cats. Homeland. All Netflix

Thinking of getting the Disney because it will help all of us be a bit more light hearted!

Feelingfestivenow · 22/03/2020 08:38

On to the second series of Billions, really enjoying it (even if I get a tad confused!)

YouAreTheEggManIAmTheWalrus · 22/03/2020 08:44

If you want a laugh Schitt Creek on Netflix is very amusing. The subtle nuances crack me up. The mum from Home Alone and the Dad from American Pie are great in it.

QuellcristFalconer · 22/03/2020 08:48

We like science fiction and fantasy so:

Altered Carbon (Netflix)
Amazing Stories (AppleTV)
Locke & Key (Netflix)
See (AppleTV)
Servant (AppleTV)
The Witcher (Netflix)

I started with AnnE with an E based on LM Montgomery's Anne of Green Gables Was a tad taken aback by the classification due to violent scenes. It was OK for the first episode or so then diverged so.much

Meanwhile, I'm working my way through the free material from west end shows
