Was there supposed to be a daily update from PM today?

I've been waiting since 5pm and haven't heard or seen anything. I thought Boris was supposed to give daily updates every day? Not sure if I missed it or it's just not happening today

There was a downing st update around 2pm - guess it got moved for the weekend @. It’s on iPlayer.

No. BoJo promised himself or another minister for the briefing. The briefing was at 2pm with Environment secretary and focused on food.

I saw the 2pm update. It was the Environment Secretary, a food retail chief and someone from NHS England and it was a really quite useful briefing because it gave up-to-date information about what the food production and retail sectors are doing to get goods back on the shelves.

I think he’s having a day off 
but there was an update about supermarkets etc. from the British Retail Consortium.

I doubt he's having a day off but just not giving the press conference today. He doesn't need to be at all of them given the long haul we're in for

Ahh right, I did see that one. Just wasn't sure if Boris was going to speak today as well like he did throughout the week. Do we know if he will be speaking tomorrow?

@Yeafortwo I think Trump does imdaily updates? Not 100% on that one though. My family are in one of the EU countries(they're not on lockdown) and I don't believe they do daily updates, just as and when.

Apparently BJ and Sunak and their teams worked all night and day for yesterday’s press conference. So today’s was Eustace being shown up by the frankly amazing Helen Dickinson.

I have to say there are some brilliant ministers and scientists oh and yes experts out there. All so sobering but the updates are so informative and calming. who the hell would be our PM right now, he looks exhausted
