Packages that come into the house - should we be sterilising??

Obviously we are doing the self isolation thing and social distancing etc, but what concerns me is the virus coming into the house on the shopping I've bought. I've also bought a few things online that have been delivered

I've not sterilised these, I can't even get the products to do so if I wanted to

Are people sterilising everything that comes into the house, and if so how?

I've been spraying as much as possible with alcohol spray. Anything that is 60% alcohol or above should do it if you have, or simply giving it a clean with washing up liquid? (My theory is that it will do the same as handwashing?)

DH (intensive care doctor) has me putting packages down by the front door, opening and tipping our contents further along the follow and removing packing asap. We then wipe down the contents before bring further into the house. We are also doing the same with all shopping.
